Shadow Game (2016)
Casein on Paper
5 x 5 inches

In this scenario, players manipulate placement of light source and object to cast shadows on other players. Extended time in shade causes a piece's temperature to drop, which is recorded by an internal sensor to determine a winner.

Topography Game (2016)
Casein on Paper
5 x 5 inches

In this scenario, players can move in two directions — sideways within a topographic ring, or up/down to higher/lower ground.
As the game progresses, colored liquid incrementally fills the game play area, turning hills and valleys into islands and seas.
The objective is to secure an island uninhabited by other players. Care must be taken to avoid being stranded with another player. If more than one player acquires a private island, the winner is selected by measuring which avatar has the most distance between itself and others.
When certain combinations are rolled, a player can reverse the flow of water, causing an opponent's island to link to another by a land bridge, destroying their privacy. Players may also choose to reject or accept flotsam, which may contain one of three outcomes: alcohol, disease, or telescopes.
